John Cox studied a Degree in Architectural Engineering and Diploma in construction before gaining a Masters in Structural Design in 1996. After working as a Structural Engineer for seven years, he completed his studies, graduating from the University of East London in 2004 with a Diploma in Architecture.
He subsequently went on to work as both an Architect and Engineer, gaining his RIBA part 3 at the Bartlett school of Architecture in 2007 and registered as an Architect in 2008.
He has gained experience at a number of award-winning practices such as Price & Myers, Brown and Pletts LLP and Stephen Taylor Architects between 1994 and 2008.In professional practice we have worked on a wide range of projects as structural engineers, designers, contractors and project managers and have managed either small teams of Engineers or entire construction sites.
This experience has led to a deep understanding of all aspects of the UK construction industry, including contract law, legislative frameworks and cost control. We are happy to provide advice beyond that of a standard structural engineering practice, offering advice on building procurement, selection of materials and forms of construction.
